Tuffy’s goal is to increase literacy - both oral and written - to facilitate character education and provide a positive role model,
available and accessible to students. Tuffy’s primary focus is children. He believes every child has the right to an opportunity
allowing that child tosucceed - and every child deserves the best education available.
Tuffy is excited about his new book and the upcoming school year. His ideas and his book have been developed to incorporate
all areas of school curriculum, thus allowing for endless possibilities for lesson plans, etc.  Tuffy implements reading and writing
through each subject area and touches on key issues from each of the required disciplines. His book can be used to enhance
concepts of different subjects, as well as implement oral and written language. The possibilities of written expression are quite
vast and cover the spectrum from kindergarten to high school. His lessons and messages allow for journal writing, letter writing
skills and additional sequel writing (see Tuffy’s website at www. gotuffygo.com).
Tuffy spent the summer at Rufus Hayes’ Ranch, learning how to yield
to human contact through riding and halter-leading. He has proven to
be quite smart and willing to learn. Tuffy has a giving spirit that makes
him the perfect medium to promote the values and respect necessary
to convey and implement positive character traits and achievement of
goals. Tuffy continues to work on his training and is considering a
future in calf roping (like his grandfather) or as a barrel racer. His skills
are yet to be confirmed, as well as which direction he will take. The
present goal is to be ready for the upcoming rodeo in
East Milton in which he will make a guest appearance to benefit East
Milton Elementary School. He wants to make himself available to every
school in the Santa Rosa County area to help raise monies for each
individual school. His only requirement is that each school
administration take the time to “create” the perfect fund raising
opportunity to bring in outside resources and promote “inside”
participation. Tuffy is eager to begin his school year and to begin the
fund raising opportunities that will bring monies directly back into the
school to enhance each child’s educational experience.

With Tuffy’s help and hard work, we CAN make a difference. Tuffy
welcomes you to “jump in the saddle” and come along for the ride of a
lifetime. When we all work together and combine our ideas and
knowledge, great things can happen.

Tuffy's Biography
August 2006

Tuffy was born in East Milton at Blue Ribbon
Farms, in the section of East Milton called
American Farms. Blue Ribbon Farms is owned by
Joe and Tammy Brown. Tuffy’s mother, Helen,
resides at Blue Ribbon Farms and his father lives
in Montgomery, Ala.  Helen is blind in one eye
and was hand-picked by Tammy Brown because
Helen comes from a line of fast racehorses.
Tuffy's dad has a  job  that takes him away from
Tuffy’s home. His father’s name is Toebars Pep.
His grandfather, Toebars, was a famous calf-
roping horse in the 1970s. Tuffy’s grandfather
represents hard work and teamwork along with
respect, trust, and dedication. Tuffy sees his
grandfather as a hero - a horse which, because of
his values and respect for others, emulates the
kind of horse Tuffy wants to be.
